In Monitor, when learners are sorted "by completion", the list is sorted first by the latest activity reached, but then, apparently, sub sorted alphabetically, by last name.

To me, this doesn't make sense: I was expecting (and hoping) that learners reaching the same activity would be sub-sorted by the time that they reached that activity (which is the same as saying that they are sub-sorted by the time that they completed the previous activity).

The practical case for me right now is that I need to give credit for learners who complete a lesson by a certain time, but I don't want to close the lesson at that time.

Hi Jonathan,

That's a fair point.

As you might be aware, we are on the process of moving away from Flash based interfaces. We have now rebuild the LAMS learner and the Add lesson wizard interfaces completely in HTML and SVG graphics. Here's some pictures of these new interfaces:

As you can see it's just like the Flash interface, but in plain HTML, so learners will be able to use learner in tablets and other mobile devices.

Additionally the Add lesson interface. Here's the interface I'm referring to:

In our next release, this is looking like this:

Our next step will be indeed the Monitor interface. We'll make sure to include your sorting advice for it.

Thanks,

Ernie
