Hi all - we are considering IDP at the mo to support SSO (hopefully) within our environment. Our environment includes eLGG, LAMS, Mahara and Red5 media server. To make the environment scalable and robust, is "shibboleth" the obvious solution to enable this? Would you have any other recommendations or could this just be done with SAML? Cheers

Hi Robin,

My take (and this is my personal take on this) is that Shibboleth is probably too clunky for this. Also I think is going the way of the Dodo too.. so perhaps looking into something like SAML2 is a better idea.

LAMS has recently added SAML2 support.

As you might be aware SAML2 is becoming the standard for SSO in lots of products and organisations, so this might be the best way to go with this.

Thanks,

Ernie
