Hi Luca,

Can you please send me a screenshot of the page where you want this text changed?

If I understand you right, I think this might be a translation label and probably need to change it to some text that can be changed while authoring the Assessment.

Thanks,

Ernie

Hi Ernie,
and thank you. I'll try to explain it better. :)
I tried to edit Assessment default content (picture 1).
Then you get this (picture 2), when you can change default title, default instructions...
When you try to edit default questions (picture 3), you can not do anything different from what you do when adding an Assessment tool in your sequence (add question type, title, the answers...).
If you select "permitir respuestas múltiples" (allow several answers), students will get this (picture 4).
My question is: can we edit this sentence ("Elija por lo menos una respuesta" - Choose at least one answer)?
This is just an example among several others I'd like to edit. But in my context this is the most important :)

Quick question then, the "Elija por lo menos una respuesta" what would you like to change this to? Escribelo en castellano que yo tambien entiendo ;-)

Gracias

Ciao Ernie!

Many, many thanks and merry Christmas!

Hola Luca,

Ok, I understand what you are trying to do.

Yes, you can change these labels for your own server.

You just need to edit the appropriate label in the
ApplicationResources.properties
file. This file is located in the lams-dictionary.jar folder, where all the translations labels are located. In the specific case of assessment, you can find it in:

.../jboss-5.1/server/default/deploy/lams.ear/lams-dictionary.jar/org/lamsfoundation/lams/tool/assessment

Now, these files only reload when LAMS starts up. So in order for them to take effect you need to:

1) Stop LAMS
2) Delete the following two folders:

  • .../jboss-5.1/server/default/tmp
  • .../jboss-5.1/server/default/work

3) Restart LAMS and next time these labels should show as per your changes.

Thanks,

Ernie

Ciao Ernie!
I tried and it works perfectly! And it's also very easy to do, with your explanation.
Thanks a lot!
