Hello folks,

I am doing my annual intro to LAMS lessons (both in our Master and in an adult training class). I got LAMS 2.4.0-1 installed.

Is there an "apt-get" or *.deb upgrade (Ubuntu) for LAMS 2.4.1 ? (don't think so ... but then I my sysadmin skills are going down the hill)

Also, to evaluate if I should do a manual upgrade, is it worth to have 2.4.1 as opposed to 2.4.0-1 ?

- Greetings and thanks ! - Daniel

PS: Also got to catch up with translation, but this semester was really busy here :(

Hi Daniel,

We haven't release 2.4.1 as we keep adding new features! :-)

But it's promising to be a really good one. Specially for mobile and tablets use as we will be pretty much getting rid of Flash all together! (except for Author).

So you won't get anything coming downstream from apt-get yet.

I think you can run with 2.4.0 for this semester. Hopefully you won't encounter any issues. Otherwise let me know and I can release a quick patch.

Cheers,

Ernie

Thanx, cool to see that you still got resources to improve.

If I find time, I'll apply the two patches I can see here:
http://wiki.lamsfoundation.org/display/lams/Patches

Btw, I guess that you will shout clearly before you plan to deploy 2.4.1 (for translation work I mean).
