Forum LAMS for Tech-Heads - General Forum: Problems with no accents and ñ in user names

Hi,

I'm writting here because I'm not allow to write in the Spanish post.

I've problems adding users with name or surname containing accents or other characters (ñ, ç, ö, etc., like muñoz). The program does not save a user name including those characers and instead shows a wrong character in the user profile. Also, part of the name or surname is missing after those characters.


I have installed mysql 5.0, java jdk 6u14, on windows xp and lams 2.3.2.


I have tried installing mysql with the utf-8 and with standard character set (latin), but I have the same problem. When I edit the table with mysql, the name are show correctly, meaning that the problem occurs during saving at page level.
