Forum Problems Installing LAMS: Cannot start chat

Dear Support;

I installed and instance of LAMS and I believe evrything looked OK except chat. When I try to preview a chat, it says:

Couldn't connect. Please try again...
Code: 500
Type: cancel
Condition: service-unavailable

Attached are the log and some screenshots.

Hi Yuichiro,

Most likely, you haven't configured the connection to the Chat server properly in LAMS.

Please see the "Configuring Wildfire" section in this page:

Hi Yuichiro,

This is exactly why in the next release (2.4.1) we are getting rid of the Chat server and have implemented our own chat "engine".

It's a bit tricky to get this to work.

Just need to make sure that the chat server was installed in localhost and then you configure it in LAMS as local host.

See the configuration details.

I'm assuming that the chat server was installed in the same machine as LAMS, right?

Yes, I installed the both programs in the same machine, but I'm still having the same problem. I put the value "localhost" in bothe of the systems as you had suggested.

Could I ask when you will release the next version?
