Hello,
i can't start lams on ubuntu 8.
It worked fine before. I haven't tried it for some months.
The command i used is " sudo /usr/share/jboss-5.1/bin/run.sh".
The message i attach shows that jboss starts, but it doesn't work on http://hci.ece.upatras.gr:28080/lams/

If it is not possible to work, how i can take students' existing data from lams server?

thanks

Hi Giorgos,

I think the issue might be the java jdk version you might be running. Can you run this command and see what you get?

$ java -version

Also, I assumed you installed this manually, right?

Thanks,

Ernie

Thanks for the answer
Here are the results from the command

java version "1.5.0_22"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_22-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.5.0_22-b03, mixed mode)

Yes indeed we installed Lams manually. Lams was running just fine a year ago. After a time period , we had to start lams manually. And after that , even if we tried to start lams it wasn't working at all.
i 'm waiting if you have an idea what possible is wrong.
Thanks again for your help
Giorgos

Can you try to get Java 1.6 and set your JAVA_HOME to point to the 1.6 jdk directory.

Thanks,

Ernie
