Sequence Information Sequence: K0307 Chemistry Man Description: Deductions are logical steps we make using facts and assumptions. Say you know that chlorine and milk explode if they are put together. That’s a fact, right? (Take my word for it!)
Right. Now say you see an empty milk bottle lying next to an empty chlorine bottle and you hear a lood ’Boom’... you could assume that someone has combined the two to make an explosion.
Still with me? Good. Now say you then see someone running past waving their arms over their head. Say that person is on fire and screaming ’I’ll never play with milk and chlorine ever again!’
You could deduce that you’ve found the person who made the explosion... and that messing around with chemicals can be a really bad idea.
And you’d be right!
