Outline of Activities: Stage one students are taken through examples, activities and assessments based on stage one phonological awareness. Students learn about what rhyming words and word families are, how to implement this knowledge. They provide peers feedback, and locate rhymes in other students writing. Students also advance their skills in grammar and punctuation through games, blogs, formative and summative assessments.
