Outline of Activities:
1. Learners answer questions about places in their local community and then locate these on a map(10-15 minutes)
2. Learners watch a video of bush walk in their local community and are asked to reflect and provide a written recount or poem as a response to a positive experience they have had in their local community to post on a Wiki page (10 - 15 minutes)
3. Learners are required to explore 3 provided websites and post to a forum an interesting new fact they have learned about the natural features and history and heritage item of their local community (10 - 15 minutes)
4. Learners complete a brief survey of their knowledge of people in their community (5 minutes)
5. Learners are required to match the community needs of people in the community using multiple choice responses (5 minutes)
6. A summary of the lesson is given of the learning outcomes achieved. (1 minute)Author view:
