Hello, I am researching elearning authoring tools that can be used for VERY beginning English language learning in a poor town in Panama. I see that LAMS is open source, but would it have enough features so that Spanish speakers without real understanding of English would be able to learn? Also, I'm wondering if LAMS can be integrated with a free interface tool, and what tool would be the best so that the non-profit, government-funded elearning courses could be available to all without constant monthly or annual payments. Any ideas?

Hi Anna,

LAMS has a Spanish translations.

However, lessonlams.com -which I believe is the product you are referring to, it's only in English.

LAMS is open source and you are free to download without any payments of any sort.

LessonLAMS is free for courses up to 30 students. If you require more, there's a fee.

Thanks,

Ernie
