how to use oralce for lams,but not mysql?what to do ?where to set ? manager,do you have any ideas ? thanks..

Hi Anyu,

It is feasible although it would be quite a task.

We have done this in the past with postgres so you could potentially do the same for Oracle.

What I did was build LAMS as normal (using MySQL) then dump the LAMS database from MySQL and then use a MySQL to Postgres converter and import the resulting script into Postgres.

Then change the configuration settings in LAMS to point to the Oracle database and that should work. Ah, of course you will need to add the Oracle jdbc library as well. See the mysql-ds.xml file.
