Hi,

Someone knows how to modify the first message the learners come up with when they first enter the scriba activity?

I can enter some instructions but they always get a first default message that is always the same.

Thanks
Sandra

Hi Sandra,

You can change *any* label that you see on the screen in LAMS by modifying the dictionary values.

If you go to your:

jboss-4.0.2/server/default/deploy/lams.ear/lams-dictionary.jar/org/lamsfoundation/lams/tool/scribe/ folder, you will see that there's lots of ApplicationResources_xx_XX.properties file... where XX is the language and locale.

Find the one for your language, open it and then modify the label accordingly. Then stop LAMS (jboss) and then delete these two folders before restarting LAMS again:

jboss-4.0.2/server/default/deploy/tmp
jboss-4.0.2/server/default/deploy/work

Restart LAMS and voila...

Thanks,

Ernie
