hello, i have a problem using instant messaging. i want to send an instant message to a learner. The way i want to do it is by inserting a row in lams_presence_chat_msgs table. When i insert the row the message dont show in the learner except if the learner refresh the page.. if you know a way to show the message without refreshing it will help me very much:)

Hi Kwstas,

LAMS uses Jabber for the instant messaging. You can send messages to the students from the Monitor interface, right?

Hi Ernie i use wildfire and i have no idea what jabber is! if you can give me instruction you will help me very much:).. The only thing i find is wildfire admin console where is an option in session tab to send message but when i send a message nothing happens.. i have to enable or do something to send message from here? thanks for your help
