For the mathematicians out there, we have got jsmath working in the FCKEditor. It will be a matter of going into the source mode in the FCKEditor and entering all the special codes and stuff just as you would normally with jsmath. This means you will be able to use jsmath anywhere in LAMS that there is an FCKEditor. So you could have questions in the question and answer tool that uses jsmath to display mathematical formulae.

The jsmath install is very large (about 80MB deployed I believe) so we aren't including it as part of the normal installation. But we are preparing notes on how to install it and use it with LAMS.

To see it at the moment you have to build LAMS yourself from cvs. We've put up some simple notes on the wiki suitable for developers and will be writing the proper system administrators "how to" notes when we do the final release scripts. If you don't fancy building LAMS for yourself, then wait a till the installer version comes out (which shouldn't be long now!)
