When I installed LAMS 2 on a server and tested it on the server it all looks fine. When I connected to the server from another machine I seem to have lost almost all formating. See attached. And when I clicked on Author I got a blank page. A Flash problem?

Ken,

My guess is that the server url is set to localhost:8080. So when you look at it on the server it can find all the stylesheets but when you look at it on another machine, its trying to get the stylesheets from http://localhost:8080/lams/css, which doesn't exist!

Log in as sysadmin, select the Sys Admin menu and edit the system configuration. It should be set to whatever url you will use to access the server.
