this is for Forum and Scribe (after hitting "finish" on the scribe/agree part)

"You have to complete the other task before progressing to the next activity"

the message seems a touch vague when trying to get the student to realise they have to click on the "back to forum" button before clicking on the "finish" button there. Yes, they should finish with the forum first before agreeing on the scribe part but dumbo's (like me) don't...

it's the "complete the other task" that's not quite clear (huh? which task?).

or better still, perhaps get the "force complete" button in scribe to "finish" the forum?

just wanting to make a great tool even better

thanx

Hmmm. I'll have to think about this one.

From a usability perspective, I see your point.

From an entirely technical perspective:

The forum and the scribe parts work completely independently, so making scribe finish the forum would break that model.

The message is a generic message that appears whenever the system has that two window setup (which we call a Parallel Activity). It isn't customised for Forum/Scribe. That's why it is so vague.

Maybe that is the answer - a customisable message for these combination activities.

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll add it to the wishlist.

Regards,

Fiona
