Lately we've been working on implementing and updating the lamstwo module. Mainly this has included groups and gradebook support so far (I'm currently looking at getting some form of backup/restore working). One consequence of this is that the minimum required Moodle version will become 1.8 instead of 1.6.

Anyway, we now have a Moodle 1.8.5 server running the module which you can sign up for. You'll get the teacher role, and can have a look at how it works. I've also posted a changelog and todo list there. The server is at http://stinger.melcoe.mq.edu.au/moodle. Feel free to post bugs, comments, suggestions or feedback in this thread or on the Moodle instance itself - although at some point it will be taken down as it's only a temporary/testing installation.

Alternatively, you can try the module out yourself. I'll attach a copy of the module to this post. Installation steps are the same as the existing module (i.e., copy folder to moodle/mod, copy language file to moodle/lang/en_utf8, then go to http://blah.com/moodle/admin/). Note that the db upgrade script isn't implemented yet, so you can't upgrade an existing lamstwo. It should work with LAMS 2.0.4, although you'll miss one of the new features (the one that adds users to the lesson when it's created, instead of whenever they decide to join). It's meant to run with LAMS 2.1 though (which hasn't been tagged yet).
