Dear Support,

I installed an instance of LAMS. I am able to login and see all images/css/flash within the server hosting the LAMS server.

When I try to view from another desktop, I am able to see the LAMS home page, but the images/CSS/Flash is missing. I am attaching an image so you can what I mean.

I turned off the Firewall to make sure it was not blocking anything. The user which LAMS was install has administrative rights.

LAMS Version: 2.4
OS: Win Server 2008 (64-bit)
DB: MYSQL Server 5.5
JAVA: JDK 1.6.0 and JRE6

Thanks,

Hi Noel,

Just make sure that you have set up the correct Server URL.

By default, if you are using the Windows installer, the Server URL is http://localhost:8080/lams.

However, localhost is only accessible from the server/desktop in which you installed LAMS. But you can use the IP, for instance: http://192.168.1.10:8080/lams/ but you'll have the problem you are having that the css/images and flash aren't been loaded because they are pointing to http://localhost:8080/lams/css...

So to fix this, login as sysadmin, then go to the sysadmin menu, click on "Edit configuration settings" and then set the Server URL to the IP: http://192.168.1.10:8080/lams/ in my example. In your case, set the URL to http://domdev.anbg.mssm.edu:8080/lams/

Then use this URL in your other desktops and it should work no problems.

Thanks,

Ernie
