A minor issue...

By default the properties panel at the bottom is closed.

I guess it would help newbie authors if you could display it by default. Most modern computer screens have a big enough display area. The little control on bottom right might be overlooked.

This remark has to do with "authoring LAMS without reading the manuals" and the unfortunate typical user behavior which IMHO is to ignore everything that is not in plain sight.....

Hi Daniel,

For 2.4, we are having a new wizard like assistant for new users.

Pretty much for all modules, you will have a wizard like assistant (hopefully less annoying than clippy from MS word :-). This assistant can be turned off at any time and will only play once for the first time and then you can turn it off forever.

The idea is that it gives you a 3 minute animation/introduction on how the environment you are opening (author, monitor, learner, etc) works.

See http://bugs.lamsfoundation.org/browse/LDEV-2369

Thanks,

Ernie
