LAMS Conference update - 2 weeks to go
The 5th International LAMS & Learning Design conference is on December 9th at MGSM, Macquarie University. Training workshops for teachers are on the 8th, and a special technical workshop for system administrators and developers is on the 10th. Workshop details at The program has been revised - for the latest version, see There is a special rate of $110 for students attending the conference. For all registrations, please go to I've just completed a short book on Learning Design and LAMS called The book provides practical advice on implementing these innovative teaching strategies both face to face and online (using LAMS or other systems). The book will be on sale soon from the LAMS International website, but we'll be giving away free copies to all conference attendees. I'm delighted to announce the 2011 Asia Pacific LAMS & Learning Design conference, to be held in Singapore on June 7th, 2011 (workshops on June 6th). This conference is jointly sponsored by Nanyang Technological University and LAMS Foundation/LAMS International. Many thanks to NTU for their support! The conference is back to back with the E-Learning Forum Asia 2011 on June 8th and 9th in the same venue, which will make it ideal for those who wish to attend or present at both events. More details coming soon - but please mark this date in your diary! A final reminder for "Learning Designs in Medical Education Colloquium — An ALTC Project" on the 10th of December also at MGSM at Macquarie University. For details see As part of my keynote presentation at the 2010 European LAMS Conference, I referred to a (refereed) paper that was published to accompany the talk. Unfortunately due to an editing error, this paper was left off the CD containing the Conference Proceedings. Rather than send a new CD to all attendees, we've decided to just add the paper to the conference website. The paper is titled "Visualising Learning Design in LAMS: A Historical View" and is available at Posted by James Dalziel |
