Forum Getting Started: Admin woes: can't edit subgroups I create

My sysadmin (which is me with an Admin login on a different browser to not upset sessions/logins) has allowed me to have "monitor,Author" roles of the subgroup - but I can't edit it (eg: change the name).

similarly, just using my normal login credentials (NOT sysadmin) I can create sub-groups no problem. But again, I can't edit them.

my sysadmin has no problems doing any of these actions.

my thinking is that if I can create subgroups, I could edit them too....

any suggestions on what to check to see if we've set this up correctly?
