Hi all

this is a sequence I'm working on at the moment and while I'm mostly pleased with it, there's a couple of rough edges I'm not sure about

NOTE: there are two lots of grouping, each with it's own forums: "roles" and later on "teams". Both have students allocated to them in monitor before the students start**

1) The "roles" forum: Ideally, I'd like the students to only be able to see the forum thread for the role they've been assigned to but at the moment they can see (and enter) all of the threads. QUESTION: is this the best way to do this and I just have to wait for 2.1 and branching or is there a better way of ensuring only students of X role go into X forum?

2) the "team" forum+scribe: the scribe here is collating information from the discussions of the whole team (in the forum). The scribe (or anyone that the team nominates) takes the scribes' "scribbles" and turns it into a document to submit ("Delivery B"). this process seems a bit cumblesome. What I'm really after is a shared (team) document that can be used to easily submit for "Delivery B". Or is there a better way?

any ideas much appreciated

thanx

** here's some user logins and group allocations ("role" and "team") to hopefull make sence of it all

login password first_name last_name
=========================================
login1 test1 Test 1 aUser 1
login2 test2 Test 2 aUser 2
login3 test3 Test 3 aUser 3
login4 test4 Test 4 aUser 4
login5 test5 Test 5 aUser 5
login6 test6 Test 6 aUser 6

this is the bare minumum to make sense of the two groupings (to config in monitor):

* 2 teams each with 3 students
- "test_team_1": logins 1,2,3
- "test_team_2": logins 4,5,6

* 3 roles each with 2 students
- "role_Collaborative": logins 1,4
- "role_Compromising": logins 2,5
- "role_Accommodative": logins 3,6
