I am playing with LAMS and did a sequence containing branches. Those branches were linked to other activities. When I tried to delete them, I had some of them removed. However, there are those branches I couldn't drop them into the recycle bin. It always show the following message:
Alert
This Branching Activity has a child linked to a Branching Activity. To remove please deselect this activity as the Input(Tool).

I tried to removed all links and then tried to drop them again (many times). It still display the above message.

Could some one advise what is the problem?

Thanks,

Xiaoping

Hi Xiaoping,

I think this is what you are doing:

You have a branching activity that is using an output from a previous activity (for instance an Multiple Choice). As the branching activity requires the Multiple Choice to work, if you try to remove the Multiple Choice activity, you get this message.

What you can do is go back to your branching activity and deselect the "Learner's output" output (change it to Teacher Choice for example). After that, you'll see that you will be able to delete the activity.

Here's an animation that shows what I'm talking about.

Thanks,

Ernie
