1: Prerequisite Lessons or Sequences

I work for a convenience retailer. We are considering the use of LAMS for emplyee training at our stores. I would like to have a condition on the lesson that may require that other lessons are completed first.

I have played with Optional Sequences and Task Lists, thinking that I could have a master lesson that contained the full compliment of other lessons, but have found it to be cumbersome.

I am looking for suggestions, or better yet, examples.

HI Dan,

Can you confirm with me that I'm understanding you properly:

Your idea would be to only display a lesson, once another lesson has being completed? Is this the case?

Let me see if we can make this a feature of the 2.4 release (which should be out around March).

As of today, you could put everything in one big lesson and use condition Gates to grant access to the rest of the sequence. But I guess this might be a bit cumbersome if you have lots of activities.

Yes. Thanks. My trainers will be very happy to hear. We have several training lessons that we would like to incorporate into LAMS.

On another note, is there a method for creating individual reports per trainee and lesson. We are required to document results individually by user or trainee.

Hi Dan,

We have discussed the task to make conditional release of lessons when you complete a previous one and we believe we will be able to do this for the next release (LAMS 2.4).

I created a development task for this, so you can monitor its progress:

As for individual reports, are you talking about gradebook outputs?

I don't think we have individual reports.

The closest report you can find that might be able to help with this is Gradebook:
