LAMS and excursions

One of the ways that I've imagined LAMS being really useful is in the context of a class excursion. Students could complete a LAMS sequence before and/or after going to look at a museum, gallery or even the zoo.
This could link the students nicely to any of the resources that the museums etc offer online. I think that most museums offer fabulous resources online, and this would help to focus students on important information, away from the hussle and bussle of being out and about. I would like to know if anyone out there has ever used LAMS in this way, and to know how it went. What was useful and what was not? Or, if you have not used LAMS in this way, do you think it would be useful? Should we encourage museums etc to design LAMS sequences around their websites to help teachers with excursions? Let me know what you think. Posted by Bronwen Dalziel |
