Thanks Jeff,

I think that it will be really useful to me, when I have to write teachers guides to go along with any LAMS sequences that I have written. It will make the process much more simple. (And give me a few more verbs to do it with).

It could also be useful to think about these things before writing a sequence :-)

Couldn't agree more with you Bronwen about it being useful to consider and indeed state the learning goals beforehand. Actually more than useful - in the view of our research group, absolutely essential. Clearly setting out factors like goals, context, population, prerequisites, etc. is the key to successful sharing and reuse of designs. In our experience it is also an important part of the the authoring process itelf, helping the author to bring into focus and reflect about the assumptions, rationale and structure she has adopted in the sequence. This is the direction we are working in and we'll be proposing a paper about it for the December LAMS conference. Should be a great opportunity for exploring questions like these. Hope you agree.
