Hi,

We are building an sequence where in one step the learner has to pick several items from an inventory. The selected Items can be stored in a XML file or an other format.

The idea is to have both the HTML interface AND the XML file will stored within the LAMS session. This enables the learner can use this information later on in the sequence.

Is it possible for a learner to modify the XML file by selecting Items?

If this is possible, where should we start?

Kind regards,
Jan

Hi Jan,

To do this programatically, you will need to look at modifying some of the LAMS tools so they can use XML to store stuff.

As of how to modify the XML file by selecting objects, perhaps you need to look into some javascript to do so. But I can't really suggest anything as I have no experience on that.

Thanks,

Ernie
