Hi,

I can't seem to get LAMS installed on my MacBook Pro (Mac OS 10.6.4). I couldn't really find too many technical details on what is going on in the background with this installer. When I start the server, it goes to: file:///usr/local/lams/static/index.html and after it goes to http://localhost:8080/lams with the following:
------------
HTTP Status 404 - /lams
type Status report
message /lams
description The requested resource (/lams) is not available.
Apache Tomcat/5.5.9
------------
Any suggestions on what is going on?

Where it is being installed? What framework it is working under? Java?

MySQL is up and running and I have used it in various configurations. I work mostly in PHP and Python. But maybe it is a problem with some port configuration. Where are the configuration files for LAMS in the unix architecture?

Hi Mark,

The error message you are getting suggests that something has gone wrong when LAMS started.

LAMS is installed in /usr/local/lams.

Can you zip up the content of /usr/local/lams/jboss-4.0.2/server/default/log and post the zip here? These logs will give us an idea about what might have gone wrong when LAMS started.

Cheers,

Ernie
