A problem has arisen with the survey activiy in a lesson. Students have responded to the survey, left the lesson and then tried to reaccess the survey. The following message appears:
"The instructor has set this activity not to allow you to retake the survey after you have finished it. As you are returning to this activity, you are able to see your answers but not allowed to change them."

Students can see the survey questions but there is no where on the page to either click or see the indiviual student's response.

Any suggestions on why this is happening?

HI Vikki,

There's a setting in the advance tab in Survey author that reads "Lock when finished". Uncheck it next time and the users will be able to retake the survey several times.

Thanks Ernie but that's not the issue I have.

Its not about taking the survey again; its about students being able to see their responses once they have taken the survey. In the tutorial notes about the survey tool it says that even clicking the 'Lock when finished' option, students should still be able to see their responses if they re-access the survey in the lesson sequence. This is not the case and am trying to find out why.

Sorry, Survey doesn't allow you to see your responses once you entered them.

No worries.

If the survey is just open questions (essay like questions) you can use Q&A and in the case students will be able to see their answers.
