Hi, Ernie, Daniel,
I have installed Bitnami Moodle 2.6.2 stack and LAMS 2.4 in the same machine.

After setting the LAMS and Moodle configurations up using Daniel's guides, the setting valisation of LAMS Server Configuration was successful. Then, I tried to add a LAMS Lesson activity to a course, but got an error message saying that "Call to LAMS failed. no response or connection was refused. Please check that you have the correct LAMS Server and that it is online".

1. The configuration in LAMS site is following.
ID: moodle
Key: moodle
Name: YDKimMoodleSite
Description: Moodle demo site
Prefix: mdl
User Information URL: http://localhost/moodle/htdocs/mod/lamslesson/userinfo.php?....
External Server URL: http://localhost/moodle
Timeout URL: http://localhost:8080/lams/
Lesson Finish Callback: http://localhost/moodle

2. The configuration in Moodle site is following.
LAMS Server URL: http://localhost:8080/lams/
Server ID: moodle
Server Key: moodle
Moodle instance name: YDKimMoodleSite

I also copied the lamslesson.php file in ~ moodle/htdocs/mod/lamslesson/lang/en directory into ~ moodle/htdocs/mod/data/lang/en directory.

I would like to get your advices on what to check, in order to correct this error.

Hi Young Dal,

I'm not familiar with Bitnami, but let me see if I understand how you have installed both Moodle and LAMS.

Assuming that the Bitnami moodle server comes all with Moodle setup, then you installed LAMS using apt-get?

Did you download the bitnami moodle instance or you are running it on the cloud?

Hi, Ernie,
The Bitnami Moodle 2.6.2 for Windows comes all with Moodle setup. I downloaded the installer and installed it in my notebook PC. I don't use their cloud system.
I installed LAMS Binary package using instructions in "Instlling LAMS 2.4 Production in Windows" in wiki.lamsfoundation.org.
I am using MySQL Server that I installed with Bitnami Moodle and installed JDK 6 in my pc.

I validated the settings in
Home / ▶ Site administration / ▶ Plugins / ▶ Activity modules / ▶ LAMS Lesson and was successful.

Can you try using this LAMS modules for Moodle instead?

This is a newer version directly from the latest source.

BTW, I tried Bitnami moodle and it works quite great. Using the module I sent you it worked for me alright.
