G'day everyone,

As you might know, we've been working on LAMS 3.0 for quite some time.

Now we believe is ready for you to give it a crack and we have updated our LAMS demo with it.

LAMS 3 is a complete UI and technology revamp that makes it mobile/tablet friendly and super fast.

While it will take a while to describe all 600+ enhancements and the new features, here are some of the key ones:

  • Modern look and responsive design
A completely new look and feel with a mobile/tablet friendly design.
  • Flashless Monitor, Learner and Author!
Replace Flash with a completely new HTML5 interface making LAMS a lot faster and easier to use on any device.
  • IMS LTI support
LAMS is now an IMS LTI tool provider and consumer, allowing LAMS to be integrated with any Learning Management System that support IMS LTI!
  • Embed rich media, images, videos directly into any HTML editor
If you use external content in your teaching, now LAMS makes it easier to embed content from websites like Youtube, TED, Wikipedia, Flickr, Vimeo, Twitter, Instagram, Pintrest, Facebook, Prezi, GitHub, and many more!
  • New Peer Review tool
Probably the most versatile Peer and Self Review tool you will find. Allow students to rate, rank and/or comments on their own and others work/performance.
  • Performance improvements
Now LAMS feels a lot faster responsive. Whether you are running a class with 10 or 10 thousand students!

Yes, LAMS is very much alive.

Take a look at our GitHub repository.

If you want to use LAMS 3, follow the building instructions to get it up and running.

We don't have installers as they are they have proven very complicated to maintain and we prefer to add features to LAMS than maintain these.

But if there's anyone that is willing to take on the installers, we'll be happy to help.

Thanks
