I clicked on the save icon (rather than Save As in the file menu) and it displays the file name in form that looks like I can edit it. But when I edit the name (from 3.0 to 3.01 in the attached) LAMS acts as if the name exists. I worked around this by copying the new file name, selecting the folder, pasting the name back and then clicking OK.

It was the Save As menu item that I was using - sorry about the confusion.

Good point Ken.

Raised as https://bugs.lamsfoundation.org/browse/LDEV-1072.

Can't promise it will get done for 2.0 but if it misses that, we'll try to get it done for the next release.
