Forum LAMS for Tech-Heads - General Forum: Movie Player and LAMS 2.1

We recently added support for a movie player, called the flvPlayer to LAMS.

It is NOT built into the LAMS 2.1 release, as we cannot include it for licensing reasons. But we have written some instructions on how to install the player into LAMS.

If you have the movie player installed in LAMS 2.0.4 and upgrade to LAMS 2.1, you will need to reinstall the movie player. A new version of the LAMS 2.1 movie player is available from the Downloads page. If you don't reinstall it, then the movie player button will disappear in authoring.

If you have previously downloaded the player to use with LAMS 2.1RC1, you will need to download it again - don't just use the one you downloaded before. If you use the old one, you will lose some of the bug fixes we did for LAMS 2.1.

If you haven't installed the movie player at all yet, then go to the Downloads page to download it, and read the instructions page on how to install the player.

The files in the fckeditor directory haven't changed, but the includes/javascript/fckconfig_custom.js has changed for LAMS 2.1.
