I don't think the original lams module/course format code was mistakenly left; it's just that people moved on to lams 2 and the Moodle guys kept the original module. As you know we have the lamstwo module now...
It's true there was originally a dependency on some of the original lams modules permissions, but we've removed that dependency recently (see changelog at http://wiki.lamsfoundation.org/display/lamsdocs/Moodle). Posted by Jun-Dir Liew |
