Outline of Activities: Beat the flood is an exciting hands-on challenge for 8-14 years. It enables pupils to consider the global impact of flooding caused by climate change, then design and build a model of a home on the fictitious island of Watu. The challenge can be used to deliver parts of the science, design and technology and maths curriculum in regular lessons, as an enrichment day, in a STE(A)M /science club or part of a primarysecondary transition activity.
