Hello everybody!
I would like to request your urgent help.

I have installed LAMS2.4 to CentOs6.2, but the Authoring does not work.
When I click `Author`, a blanc page shows up.

I have;
Java 1.6.0_37, JBOSS 5.1, Mysql 5.1.61.

Please give me some advice!

Thank you in advance!

Regards,

Nori

Nori,

You need to make sure that you set up the Server URL correctly and stick to that URL when you access LAMS.

To modify this URL, please login as sysadmin, go to the sysadmin menu and then click on "Edit Configuration settings". There you'll find the "Server URL" setting.

Make sure you set it up with the same URL you are accessing it. For example, if the domain I want to use is mylams.com, then the Server URL would be:

http://mylams.com/lams/

If LAMS runs on another port other than 80, then you must add it as well. For example if it runs on port 8080, then:

http://mylams.com:8080/lams/

Thanks,

Ernie

Hi Ernie,

Thank you for your reply.

Actually my Lams2.4 runs on port 8080 and it shows "Welcome lams2.4".

but GUI seems like having problem, the texts are displayed normally but without graphics and icons.

And when I click "Author", it opens up a blank page.
furthermore, all action takes quite long time.
Is it because of the PC or network?

I apologize luck of my knowledge about PC.
Please give me your advice.

warm regard,

Nori

Hi Nori,

Please have a look at this thread as you might find the answer in there. Follow the instructions on how to update the Server URL:
