LAMS Conference presentations due Mon 9th October
The First LAMS conference in December is shaping up to be a great event, with presenters from all around the world. The final invitation for presentations closes this Monday, 9th of October. If you are interested to give a short presentation or present a poster, you need to submit an abstract ASAP - see details at http://lamsfoundation.org/lams2006/papers.htm LAMS Community is 1 year old! The LAMS Community is now one year old! It currently has over 1600 members from 86 countries. Thanks to everyone who has joined and contributed to its success - particularly those who have shared sequences through the repository, and those who have contributed to online discussions. If you haven't yet shared a sequence or posted a comment in a forum, we invite you to take a moment to get involved. Article on the design and development of the LAMS Community I've just uploaded an article about the design and development of the LAMS Community - it provides key background on the ideas behind both LAMS and the LAMS Community, as well as my critique of typical assumptions behind other types of Learning Object Repositories. See: LAMS V2 (RC1) demo accounts now available The final test version of LAMS V2 is out (RC1) - and now anyone can sign up for a test account to explore the new system and provide feedback prior to the final release at the end of October. For details on this final version, see: To sign up for a demo account, see: Please post feedback/comments/questions about RC1 to the LAMS Community technical forums. Posted by James Dalziel |
