Hi:

I have just started to use LAMS and have three questions which I can't find answered in the documentation.

1. How to delete sequences. I have tried from the Author tool, you can click on Open, select a sequence and then click on Delete. The problem is that LAMS then gives an error message that I don't "have permission to write to the resource". But I am an administrator en LAMS... Any suggestions? I can't believe that it is not possible to delete sequences...

2. How to copy an activity (with properties already configured) from one sequence to a new one. I don't want to save the whole sequence as a new one, I just want to be able to copy and paste bits so that I haven't got to re-write it all by hand

3. How can I assign roles "by hand". I want the teacher to be able to assign specific roles within an activity to specific students.

Yes, you can delete sequence from your own folder (have a look at the attach pict).

The option we have here is not as good as "copy and paste" but it will do the job though. See here: http://is.gd/5mhK8

I think you might be talking about assigning students into groups? If so, choose a grouping activity and then select the option "Choose in Monitor" and that will allow the teacher/monitor to manually assign students into groups.

Also note that if what you want it so assign roles to students, then I would use a grouping activity, and then create a branching activity that uses this grouping to assign the students a set of activity according to their role/branch.
