A smartnotebook file opens happily from a folder on the local PC however when attemptng to access this file as a shared file in a sequence after uploadong to LAMS it fails to open - first message says the file is in use - open read only - second message says cannot open file then gives an error number of 0x80070057

Has anyone had success using these files in LAMS??

Hi Phil,

I'm not so sure if I know what a smartnotebook file is. What is a smartnotebook? (I go out so little, I wouldn't know ;-)

So is it when you try to download the file again when you get the 0x800... error? or when you try to upload as a shared file?

If it is when you download it, would you have a chance to save the file in a different folder? That might solve the problem (as you might be wanting to download the file and overwrite the exisiting file in your PC).

Just some further detail on the problem - no problems when uploading the file - however the messages and the error occur when we select the view online option

I use Smart notebook quite a bit but I haven't uploaded it into a LAMS sequence yet. I will give it a go and get back to you.

Debbie,

Phil sent me a couple of files (see attached) with the error messages he's getting. It seems that they are a problem with the smartboard software as those pics show. Hopefully they'll help to diagnose the issue.

Since we don't have a smartboard (James, when are we getting one!? ;-) I can't really help.
