Hi
Is there any way to install LAMS onto shared hosting when you don't have root access (other than contacting LI for a hosting package which I cannot afford)?

Has anyone successfully got LAMS running on a shared hosting web server at all? Any advice gratefully received.

Hi Gavin,

Sure, you shouldn't need to have root password if you use the Windows or Linux installer. However, you will need to make sure that MySQL is installed already.

Do you already have a web hosted provider? I assume they would have Java SDK installed? If you don't know just post here their URL and I can inquire for you.

Thanks,

Ernie
