When I preview the chat, it shows that

Couldn't connect. Please try again...
Code: 503
Type: cancel
Condition: service-unavailable

I have installed wildfire, have configued it.
What can I do now? thank you!

Hi Janice,

Login into the wild fire server using the admin account. The URL should be:

http://"your-server-here":9090/

Once you login, have a look at the server name. Make sure you right down the name of the server.

Now, login as sysadmin in the LAMS server:

http://"your-lams-server-here"/lams

Then go to the sysadmin section and select where it says "Edit Configuration Settings". In there, there's a valued called: XmppConference. In there, type the following:

conference."server-name"

Make sure you replace the "server name" with the name of the server that you have in Wildfire.

You will need to put the sever name (without the conference.) where it says "XmppDomain".

Save it and that should do the trick.

I experienced the same problem with chat initially.
I checked that the settings were as described in the other response. Still had the problem
I then registered wildfire as a service [details on wildfire site] Set the service to start automatically.
I am not sure if this is what solved the problem but it worked after this.
