Hi All,

I am installing LAMS on a mac OS 10.4.8 PPC platform for personal use. I've downloaded the file named lams_2.0-unix-beta.tar.gz and followed the instructions to the letter.

Things are fine right up to the point where I am instructed to run the ant script. Only one problem - Ant is not included in the .gz file despite the fact that the instructions recommend you use the 'included' version!

I don't want to install Ant myself if I do not have to, so perhaps someone can explain why ant is missing from the UNIX installer file? I've downloaded the .gz file several times thinking I missed something, but Ant is simply not included. Anyone have any advice? Are the instructions simply wrong?

Thanks

Brian

Hi Brian,

Im not sure whats going wrong for you... When you extract the lams_2.0-unix-beta.tar.gz you should get a folder called binary_package that contains the following files:

drwxr-xr-x 4 ant (Directory conraining the included ant)
-rw-r--r-- 1 build.xml
drwxr-xr-x 3 conf
drwxr-xr-x 2 doc
-rw-r--r-- 1 install
drwxr-xr-x 3 lams_build
-rw-r--r-- 1 lams.properties
-rw-r--r-- 1 readme
drwxr-xr-x 2 sql
-rw-r--r-- 1 sql_error
-rw-r--r-- 1 sql_log
drwxr-xr-x 7 wrapper

The ant executable should be under ant/bin/ant

Does this Help? If not can you please send me a list of the files you did receive?

Thanks,
Luke Foxton
