My set up is on a win 2003 member server.
Have installed LAMS 2 and Wildfire.
Have checked that the server name in wildfire matches the entry in LAMS config.

User receives folowwing error message:
Couldn"t Connect. Please Try again
Code:401
Type:Auth
Condition: Not authorised

On an impulse I decided to try my test user again and the chat now works. Nothing has changed on the server as far as I know

Greg,

Try it again with whole new lesson.

The first time someone goes into a chat in a lesson, a chat room is created on the back end server. We suspect that this is taking a bit too long sometimes and it is timing out. If you try to go back in again to the same chat, it works as the chat room already exists.

If you create a whole new lesson and go into the chat, then it will have to create a new chat room and it may timeout again.

We are yet to work out how we will increase the time that LAMS waits for a response from the wildfire server. We don't want it  to wait indefinitely as you would then be stuck on the Chat activity if the wildfire server wasn't working!
