Hi! Im new to LAMS and I need some help.
I am student at the Greek Open University, and I want to fulfil my thesis introducing LAMS as an outstanding tool to support collaborative learning.
I have windows vista and I have already installed jdk and mysql following the steps proposed in LAMS site.
Now I am installing wildfire_2_6_2 and I get a message “You must be logged in as an administrator when installing this program”
The thing is that I have already logged in as Administrator (Admin is the user name for the account – the sole account which exists in my computer - which is the administrator account) before doing the installation.
I went to control panel to change the user name from Admin to Administrator but it didn’t let me do so, as it says that there is already a user with this name though I don’t see any other user than the one I use which is the user Admin.
Any idea how can I overcome the problem and continue with LAMS installation?
Thank you for your kind attention

Hi Pepy,

I think this would have to do with Vista. Have a look here:
