Hi,

I have a similar problem to Andy Hamilton (http://lamscommunity.org/dotlrn/clubs/technicalcommunity/forums/message-view?message%5fid=876775) in that half of the Moodle/LAMS integration works.

We are using Moodle 1.9.8 and LAMS 2.3. When I set up the LAMS V2 module in administration, it does not validate consistently (HTTP Error: Server failed to send headers). When I go to my course, I can open authoring from Moodle and create sequences, but I cannot add them to the course. Sometimes it shows me the LAMS file system and sometimes it goes straight to a "Call to LAMS failed" error message.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Hi Charlie,

If you are accessing LAMS Authoring thru Moodle, that means that the integration works.

What it is weird though is that you "sometimes" get the error message. Does it give you an error code? That's usually the HTTP error code, so that might shed some light.

Also, are the Moodle and LAMS servers far apart (network wise)?

You might want to have a look at the LAMS access logs (see the localhost_{date}.log files in the jboss/server/default/logs directory) when Moodle is trying to fetch the list of sequences.

Thanks,

Ernie

Hi Ernie,

Many thanks for getting back to me. We didn't solve the original problem, but installed the LAMS 2 module on our production Moodle server which runs 1.9.5, and it's looking fine.

Many thanks again.
