Hi there,


the solution to a non-working installer for Windows + Xamp is so easy. Maybe there is a similar solution for OS X + Xamp?

Copied the existing my.cfg-file already to /etc/ (wasn't there before) but still the installer refuses to recognize my mysql and therefor won't start.


thanks for any suggestions, successful ones are especially appreciated. :)

Hi San,

Have a look at this thread about using the installer with XAMP... specially at this message. I'm pretty sure this would trick the installer.
