I get this error in the opening LAMS dialogue on Moodle:

An unexpected error returned from LAMS server:soapenv:Server.userException: java.rmi.RemoteException: error.username.unique; nested exception is: com.webmcq.ld.usermanagement.UserManagementException: error.username.unique! Please contact your administrator.

I have, I am pretty confident, fulfilled all the conditions as set out in the integration, having received assistance with this from Ernie and Jun-Dir.

Any thoughts?

Does this happen consistently for any user, or just one?
Have you set the 'prefix' entry in the LAMS database?

If the prefix was blank and you were logged in as user 'admin', that would explain the error since LAMS also has a user called 'admin'.

You can also check the LAMS list of logins manually by entering mysql and at the prompt: 'use lams; select login from tbl_user;'

Also Adam, are you using the same insert in the ext_server_org_map table for Sakai *and* Moodle? Note that you need to define one and only one for each external system to LAMS
