Not so sure what you mean by reverse proxy. Do they use mod_jk or ...?

Thanks,

Perhaps they might want to look into mod_jk as well:

What they have is a server (with LAMS) not visible from the internet (let's say in a private 192.168.0.x subnet). There is also an internet facing server. What we wan't to achieve is through reverse proxy (maybe with apache mod_proxy) to expose the LAMS web application to the internet.

Are there are any best practices for such a scenario?

We should also note that there is a moodle web application server as well on the backend server. That one has to be exposed as well and also be integrated with LAMS.

Hi Spyros,

I have not much experience with mod_proxy, but I'm sure it can be done somehow. If you guys manage to do this, please share it here!

Thanks,

Ernie
