I have installed lams 2.3.5 and red5 0.9.1.

I can see the demo from red5 server.

I configured lams for the media server. But I could not add video.

Hi Jong-Dae,

How are you? Great to hear from you again.

The video recorder is always tricky as it require some special ports open if you just install it out of the box.

I have written some instructions on how to get it to work over http so you won't require to open ports. It's a bit tricky as there's quite a few things to change, but it usually works at the end :-) The bit that you want to do is the "Using RTMPT".

Here's the link:

Thanks,

Hi, How are you?

I could run the demo of red5 server. The red5 server was installed with a lams server. The link for setting port for rtmpt was broken. I was unable to set up video recorder for lams.

I want to confirm that I should install red5 with url http://localhost:5080/ while I have to use specific ip when I configure lams media server setting. Is this correct?

I found my mistake. I did input wrong addresses for the Media Server URL and for the Media Server Recordings URL. (exchanged). The instruction at http://wiki.lamsfoundation.org/display/lamsdocs/Installing+a+media+server+%28Red5%29+for+LAMS may be edited such that

--------------------------------------------------------
The Media Server URL is the URL for the Red5 server so this should be rtmp://172.x.x.x/ (of course replace the 172.x.x.x with the domain or the IP of the server in which you installed Red5.

As for the Media Server Recordings URL, this is the directory from where the LAMS server will "grab" the recordings and export them when required (think export portfolio, sequence export, etc). This should look like: http://172.x.x.x:5080/oflaDemo/streams/ (again replace the 172.x.x.x with the domain or the IP)
--------------------------------------------------------
be changed to

to match the order of input fields of lams settings.
